Outreach

OutreachThe Motomachi Stages, Mogu Mogu Festival and workshops are the heart of WMDF, but our artists are also busy in many places around town. In our “Outreach” events we visit many places such as schools and Old Peoples’ Homes. In 2012 we are also collaborating with the Hakodate Port Festival to put on a public Street Party in Daimon on Aug 5, and our Opening Party will also mix with the booths in the Green Belt Area on Aug 4. These are the publicly accessible events of this year's Outreach, so catch us there.

Venue:Daimon
Dates: Sat 4 Aug & Sun 5 Aug, 2012
Times: 18:00
Charge: Free
Performers: Mix of WMDF international groups and Japanese invited groups.

Arigatou Party

Fringe In 2011, we lost the last day of the Festival to a typhoon. The artists scheduled to perform kindly agreed to give a private concert for our staff instead. It was the first time in four years that some of our staff had the chance to relax and enjoy the performances. We liked it so much that we decided to continue the tradition. Sponsor Pass holders are also admitted to this “Arigatou” Staff Concert/Farewell Party on the last day (first-come, first-served).

Venue:Hotel Hakodateyama
Dates: Fri 10 Aug, 2012
Times: 19:00
Charge: Free for Sponsor Pass holders (first come, first served)
Performers: Mix of WMDF international groups and Japanese invited groups.
