イマヌエラ
クライストチャーチを拠点に活動しているマオリ人の民俗芸術団体。リーダーはジュニア・タナ（Junior Tana）。ステージでは、マオリの代表的な伝統舞踊であるハカ・ポウヒリ（Haka Powhiri）をはじめ、伝統やオリジナルの歌謡と舞踊を交えながら、マオリの文化を体現する。ポイと呼ばれる白い玉や、小さなひょうたん型の楽器など、随所に使われる伝統的な道具にも注目。伝統の文化に忠実でありながら、一方で、困難な時代を生きる現代マオリ人の悲哀や希望を歌うなど、その多岐にわたるレパートリーも彼らの特徴のひとつといえる。
